Our Story
Tuition is seen as essential in Singapore. A majority of families invest heavily, sometimes beyond their means, yet most parents doubt it pays off. A 2015 Straits Times study found that only three in ten parents saw tuition improve grades noticeably.
Tuition quality varies widely, and tutors lacked affordable, high-quality options to improve their teaching. Our team of veteran MOE educators founded Singapore’s first tutor training academy to fill that void.
From the start, our classes offered the kind of structured, evidence-based training normally reserved for MOE teachers through the National Institute of Education. The response was immediate. Tuition centres enrolled their teams, international schools sought our expertise, and parents turned to us for guidance.
Today, Stamford Classroom serves educators in Singapore and worldwide with the same promise that motivated us from the beginning: to make teacher training accessible, professional, and impactful.
